But Who is Russell?
Well Russell is our Forever Fur baby.
Russell was born on December 26th 2017 in the wheatbelt region near York. He was one of a survivor of a litter of 3 had one brother and one sister. We found the add of the trio pups of Border Collie Xs on Pet Rescue.com and we called straight away.
Cliff my partner and I (Tati) were searching for a new member to our family, we both have had multiple dogs before but this would be our first together. It wasnt a no brainer , we drove 2 hours from Perth to York and when we get there he was the last one there. The cutest little black fur ball of energy standing jumping on the fence. He looked at us and he knew , we were his people. When I picked him up he was full on happy licking me. Very affectionate that boy, such a lover...
When we got home with him it wasnt long and he looked really sick, we took him to the vet , we were so scared we were going to loose him we were already in love. Lucky it was just a big scare. Not long after he made himself home , after multiple dog beds and blankets destroyed, dad's rule of not staying on the couch didnt last very long and that end up being his official bed.
He developed the weirdest scariest habbits like chewing the wall and chewing the little rocks in the backyard. He was the quickest learner in the Pup School, made Mummy and Daddy very proud, learned all the tricks , rollover, laydown all for a nice treat....
He loved caching ball in the backyard, chasing the birds and going for walks and eventually we introduced him to the dog beach, at first he was scared of the waves but to catch his beloved ball, (he was one of those ball obsessed ones) he got brave and then he was a natural swimmer. Had the best time at Fremantle Dog Beach.
Russell was very clever and we had to spell words so he wouldnt get over excited when we talked about walk and beach but he learned our spelling , that was him, too clever. Also understood words in portuguese.
Russell was getting bigger and he was not a pure breed Border Collie thet didnt mention on his add that he was a cross with a Hunterway , a LARGE dog breed ...
